It’s that time of year again, the kids are going back to school and you’re stuck at home with your dirty carpets. Did you know that it takes less than a year for the average carpet to get filthy again? Most leading publications recommend getting your carpet professionally cleaned every 6-12 months to get your home happy and healthy. That’s where we come in!

Chem-Dry uses our hot carbonating extraction process to remove all the stains and whatever else could be lurking in your carpet. We use less water than other cleaners and dry in 1-2 hours instead of 1-2 days. Not only do we get your home cleaner, but we help your house dry faster. We also are green certified and use a cleaner that won’t hurt your home, carpets, or pets! Not only can we clean the carpets for you, but we also can take care of your upholstery, area and oriental rugs, and the odors that your pets leave behind.

Now that school’s coming back, here’s some of the dirtiest places in your home that you might not think about, and how to clean them.

Dirty Door Handles

The first recommendation we have is to clean the door handles of your home. They are some of the most used and touched spots in your house, so logically there is going to be lots of dirt and grime in those areas. Clean them with a disinfectant spray or wipes so that you can get the majority of the harmful materials off your door handle.

Freaky Faucets

The next spot we recommend is the sink faucets. You can see the grime and dirt on top, but it’s also important to get under the faucet and clean what you can’t see. Some of the tap water may contain minerals that can be hard on your countertops after months of buildup, so it’s best now to take care of the problem before it occurs!

Crusty Keyboards

The last place we recommend is what I’m typing on right now! It’s important to always make sure your keyboards are clean because the dust and dirt buildup can get pretty nasty very quickly! Clean them with disinfectant spray or a damp towel so you don’t ruin the keyboard.

After all that cleaning, there’s still plenty of work to be done around the home, so if you need some help with your carpets, upholstery, or more, call us today!
